Quick Overview
BELL AND DORJE:-
Our original bell and dorje set is entirely handmade in Nepal using traditional methods. It is the perfect set for your altar space!
The hollow of the bell symbolizes the wisdom cognizing emptiness. The clapper represents the sound of emptiness. The eight lotus petals are the four mothers and four goddesses, and the vase represents the vase containing the nectar of accomplishment. Paired with the dorje, the bell represents wisdom. As wisdom and method are an undivided unity, so the dorje and bell are never parted or employed separately.
Bell and Dorje Sets: We carry both the 5 pronged bell and dorje and the 9 pronged bell and dorje.
The Bell and Dorje set represents the perfect union of wisdom and compassion. The bell and dorje are used as ritual items in meditation practice, retreats and ceremonies along with other musical instruments, mudra hand gestures and dance. The bell or drilbu is the feminine aspect or the perfection of wisdom, which directly realizes emptiness. The dorje or vajra represents the male aspect, as method or skillful means, the indestructible nature of the absolute. Together they symbolize the blessing mandala of a practitioner’s main yidam deity.
