The Medicine Buddha is depicted holding a healing herb, Myrobalan, in his hand. In his left hand the Medicine Buddha has an ambrosia plant. The mantra associated with the Medicine Buddha is 'tayata, om, bekandzeh maha-bekandzeh, radza samungateh. soha.' The Medicine Buddha cures diseases and heals us from the affects of bad karma. This thangka was made in Nepal by our great artist.
